An Amber Alert has been promulgate for two boys police say were abducted by their birth mother in Portsmouth.
The father of the two boys — 5-year-old Dominique Jarvis and 1½-half-year-old Messiah Jarvis — last saw them Friday morning at a home on the 1100 block of Carrington Crescent, according to Portsmouth Police detectives.
The father, who has custody of the children, later received a message from the boys’ mother “that generated concern,” police said. He contacted the Portsmouth Police, who are now seeking 24-year-old Asia Jarvis.
The Amber Alert, released by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, said Davis “claimed to shoot the children if the father did not provide her with money.”
Jarvis is described as a black woman standing about 5’8″ and weighing about 215 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a blue night robe, green tights and an oversized shirt. Two warrants have been issued for her arrest for felony abduction.
Dominique is a black boy with brown hair in four braids and brown eyes. He is about 2’10” and weighs about 32 pounds. He was last seen wearing a blue and red shirt with pajama pants. Messiah also is a black boy with braided brown hair and brown eyes. He is about 2’6″ and weighs approximately 30 pounds. He was last seen wearing yellow and black pants and a white T-shirt.
