The hip-hop legend, Snoop Dogg hit the waves with a spanking fresh new single which he ties boundaries with two of the world’s biggest composers of all time for a track titled “3’s Company”.
The song is the latest release from his upcoming EP, “Make America Crip Again”, a record filled with political messaging and one that takes direct shots at his pop culture and social media nemesis, President Donald Trump.
He explained to Complex why he chose this particular title and its meaning: “Certain people feel like we should make America ‘great again,’ but that time they’re referring to takes me back to separation and segregation so I’d rather make American Crip again.” To those who think he’s simply talking about violence and shooting, Snoop clarified his stance: “A lot of people glorify the gang banging and violence but forget that in the beginning, the Crip’s main and sole purpose was to be the reflection of the Black Panthers.
They looked after kids, provided after school-activities, fed them, and stepped in as role models and father figures,” “3’s Company,” however, is a much lighter record and one that we can bump our heads to. Snoop has always managed to balance the line between serious messaging and party songs: “When you listen to my records, there’s always been a mix of conscious records and party records and this EP continues that trend.” Let us know what you think of Chris Brown and OT Genasis’ contribution to the new Snoop Dogg song, “3’s Company”.
